The Alden High School girls varsity soccer team, lead by Coach Joe Olaf, had an amazing start to their season.

During their fist game at JFK, they came out with a win. They have a record of 2 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties. The most recent games against Springville and Holland went into a suspenseful, nail-biting overtime. The girls played aggressively, but were not able to get another shot in the back of the net, leaving the Springville game 0-0 and Holland 1-1, with Brooke Bennett scoring the goal.

Captains Lena Fazio, Sophie Turton, Emily Robertson, and Jaclyn Principe plan on leading the team to many more victories. The team hopes to be a contender for the divisional championship.
