With the holiday season right around the corner, the ACTS Rising Stars have been rehearsing their latest show, “A Christmas Carol Chaos.”

This festive story follows a Rising Stars dress rehearsal of the classic tale, “A Christmas Carol,” but the only problem is their directors, Mrs. Gramza and Mr. Leonard, are nowhere to be found.

Given the circumstances, the Student Director is required to move into the position of Director and a cast member steps up as Student Director. This is only the beginning of the series of shenanigans that occur throughout the show. Written by Lori Gramza with music by Mark Leonard, this show is sure to get you in Christmas spirit. To get more information about the Rising Stars upcoming performances, I sat down with a few of the faces behind the program.

When asked to describe “A Christmas Carol Chaos” in three words, Director Lori Gramza said, “I would definitely put Christmas Spirit in there, and I would say warm, and funny.”

On his favorite part of his job, Student Director Enzo Riccione said, “I love working with Mrs. Gramza. I think she’s just the best. She’s the most sweet, kind woman I’ve ever met in my life, and it’s just really fun and an honor to work with her.”

Performances of “A Christmas Carol Chaos” will take place at ACTS Performing Arts Center on Dec. 9, 10, 16, and 17 at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on December 10 and 17. To purchase tickets, click here or visit the ACTS Rising Stars Facebook page.
