The Boys Tennis Team has two Divisional Wins and zero losses to start the season. The Bulldogs are favored to win ECIC Division IV and look every bit as strong as predicted with convincing 5 to 0 wins over both Depew and Cleveland Hill. Alden’s depth of talent makes each player work for starting positions. For now, the positions belong to Tim Tur (1st Singles), Lucas Bush (2nd Singles), Nick King or Jimmy Jablonski (3rd Singles), Taylor Grad and Christian Frank (1stDoubles), and Everett Gilbert and Dylan Kiener (2nd Doubles).

The team looked outside of their division to find extra matches and challenging competition. Akron came from Niagara-Orleans League to Alden and gave the Bulldogs a tough match. Alden lost 2-3 by managing to win both Doubles courts. ECIC Division II rival Iroquois came next and Alden won 5-0. The next non-league match came from ECIC Division I Clarence.  The match was very close as the Bulldogs learned a lot from their first team competition against a large school on many years. The set scores for each court tell the story better than the 1-5 loss result: Tim Tur (4-6,2-6), Lucas Bush (6-7, 6-4, 2-6), Nick King (6-7, 3-6), Taylor Grad and Christian Frank (5-7, 2-6), and Everett Gilbert and Dylan Kiener (4-6, 6-2, 6-4).
