Phys. Ed. Department Makes CPR a Priority

Brittany Jordon, Reporter

Knowing how to properly administer CPR can save a life.. Alden High School students have been practicing their CPR skills in Physical Education class. Cardiac Arrests can happen anywhere. But, 75-80% of Cardiac Arrests happen at home. The Physical Education department want to arm students with this knowledge.  Proper CPR requires 100 to 120 compressions per minute. The beat to “Stayin’ Alive” is the perfect match to this rate. If you want to learn more about CPR look at the Red Cross homepage or ask a Physical Education teacher about it. You can even go and take classes at private lessons.
