This week, Alden High School proudly recognizes two exceptional athletes for their outstanding performances in their sports.
Claire Shadle (Varsity Girls Basketball)
Senior Claire Shadle capped off her third varsity season with a standout performance on senior night. She recorded an impressive double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, leading the Bulldogs to a dominant 58-28 victory over Cleveland Hill.
Claire’s impact extended throughout the season, finishing as the team leader in blocks, second in rebounds, and third in scoring. Her dedication, skill, and leadership have been instrumental to the Bulldogs’ success.

Battle Ground (Unified Varsity Bowling)
First-year team member Battle Ground has quickly made an impact on the Alden Unified Varsity Bowling team. Alongside his growing skill and talent, he has demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, always supporting his teammates and guests.
Battle’s scores have consistently improved throughout the season, highlighted by his recent game in which he rolled three strikes. His dedication to both the team and the sport continues to grow, making him a valued member of the Unified Bowling program.
