Although the Alden JV Girl’s Soccer Team has suffered through many struggles this year, the girls have kept smiles on their faces and made sure they ended their season in the best way possible.
To bring more light to the Alden Girls Athletics program, WACS reporter Olivia Hyna asked what the Alden JV girls thought of their season. The hope was to have this video target girls who are interested in trying out for not only JV girls’ soccer, but all Alden girls’ teams in general. These JV girls have given their all this season and have truly showed it!
Alden JV girls’ soccer captain Bryce Lasker, a sophomore, said her favorite memory was the team’s final game.
“We all had fun, even though we were losing, we all had fun,” she said. “What sets our team apart from other teams is that we are all really close and get along.”
For the team, acting like a team is the main goal. Even through wins and losses, this team thinks it is very important to stick together and never give up on themselves.
Freshman Emma Casillo, a mid-field player, gave aspiring team members some advice.
“If you are interested in trying out for JV soccer, just have fun and that the future sophomore are actually really nice!”
