Thirteen Alden cross country runners made sectionals this fall. WACS sports reporter Brooke George talked with the team about the season, from bus rides to away meets to the team’s last spaghetti dinner at Olive Garden before sectionals.
Runners remembered early-morning meets spent wrapped in blankets “when it’s like 30 degrees out,” and one freshman is already looking ahead to her next three years on the team.
The captains got high marks from their teammates. “I will really miss them since they’re just the best kids,” one runner said.
