WACS News recently discovered that Mr. Mikulski is about half way through his first 100 days as the new Principal of Alden Intermediate School. He showed great enthusiasm when transitioning to the main office and shared how grateful he was to be back in his home town. As the former seventh grade house principal of Clarence Middle School, Mr. Mikulski said “It’s a great school so I really did not have any plans to not be there” but he was super excited to see an opportunity to come back to Alden. Mr. Mikulski has started off his first year as principal with a bang and decided to make an official Alden Intermediate School twitter account. WACS News was lucky enough to get footage of Mr. Mikulski signing the executive order authorizing the immediate establishment of the Alden Intermediate School’s twitter page.  WACS News was also very lucky to sit down with the busy principal and ask him some questions about the official Alden Intermediate School twitter page. We asked Mr. Mikulski why twitter was one of his first moves as principal and how it has become a useful tool. He responded stating that “It’s an excellent resource for communicating with the students and the faculty as well as the parents and the rest of the community.” Mr. Mikulski joins Mr. Steve, the Alden Middle School Principal, on twitter as well as the Alden Central School District. Mr. Mikulski is already off to a great start on twitter with over 100 tweets and about 40 followers. Be sure to check out the Intermediate School on twitter @AldenIntSchool, as well as the Middle School @AldenMiddle1 and the Alden Central School District @AldenCSD.
